Recent contracts The following is a selection of our recent contracts. Cabinet papers, RISs and Select CommitteesAllen & Clarke staff have considerable experience in drafting Cabinet papers and Regulatory Impact Statements. We have an excellent working relationship with officials in Cabinet Office and in the MED RIS unit. We also have considerable Parliamentary experience acting as advisors to select committees and supporting departments appearing before select committees. Development of legislationOne of our specialty areas is the development of legislation. We have considerable experience in turning policy into law and are experts in all aspects of the legislative process in numerous jurisdictions including New Zealand, various countries in Africa, the Pacific, South East Asia, the Caribbean and Kosovo. Local governmentAllen & Clarke’s local government team is experienced across of number of areas in local government including: strategic policy, community development, consultation, needs analysis, social and economic impact assessments, submissions analysis, regulatory development, review and enforcement, gambling related processes and policies, building regulation development, governance, emergency management, environmental health, and project management. InternationalAllen & Clarke’s experienced international development team has combined academic preparation in development theory, practical, in-country project experience and the use of participatory techniques to promote local ownership of initiatives, to produce excellent project results and to forge a successful international development track record. We provide a wide range of research services including literature reviews, key informant interviewing and field–based research projects.Policy analysis, development and implementationAllen & Clarke offers a comprehensive package of policy services. We have many years experience in developing policy and managing policy projects for central government, local government and international clients. Allen & Clarke has a broad knowledge of government processes. We know how to work within government processes to achieve results. We assist our clients to take a systematic approach to all the stages of policy development and implementation so that the quality of the final outcome is assured. Public consultationWe are experts in managing and advising on effective and targeted consultation processes. We can manage a wide range of consultation exercises, ranging from paper based submissions analysis, through to key informant interviewing, facilitation of public consultation meetings (for example hui and fono) and targeted workshops with key groups (for example, industry stakeholders). Review and evaluation of programmes and systemsAllen & Clarke routinely assists with the review and evaluation of polices, processes and programmes, using a variety of evaluation methodologies. Strategic policyWe work routinely on strategic planning projects including the drafting of strategic and implementation plans. Much of this work involves managing relationships with multiple government agencies and non–governmental organisations. |
