About the Experts
Jason Carpenter is a Senior Consultant with experience across the entire policy spectrum, including policy development, stakeholder and public consultation, and research and reviews. He has particular expertise within the health area, including significant experience leading and contributing to projects on tobacco control, drinking water, sport and physical activity, burials and cremation, mental health, and oral health. Jason enjoys tackling complex policy issues where there are no simple answers and a range of approaches are needed to successfully drive change.
Charlene Harvey (Senior Consultant) is an innovative strategic thinker who is driven to make a difference. She brings 20 years of experience in the public sector, most recently as part of Inland Revenue’s Business Transformation Programme. She brings her experience in strategic planning, business model design and implementation, change management, and bringing customer centricity into a regulatory environment. Charlene enjoys building productive, trusted relationships to optimise and evolve how organisations operate.
Rob Smith (Senior Consultant) is an experienced public policy practitioner and project manager with experience in both the public and private sectors. He has particular expertise and interest in regulatory policy projects, such as reviewing, developing and implementing legislation. Rob’s key areas of interest are public health, building control and housing, health and safety, border security, social and community development, injury prevention, and professional/occupational regulation.
