What I love about Allen and Clarke is that I get to work with so many interesting people who are passionate about their work but also aren’t afraid to have fun.

– Jodie O’Neill, Senior Consultant

Matt and Paul are great to work with, down to earth and very much caring. I love the work at A+C, I can utilise and enhance my skills. It’s a fun place to work.

– Bobbi Hemi, Office Administrator

I’ve been here almost six years and what I really like is the immense variety of work. I’ve worked on Treaty of Waitangi Negotiations; I’ve travelled to Vanuatu as part of an evaluation project for MFAT; I have helped the National Library review how it can better support New Zealand authors whose works are held in New Zealand libraries; and I have even been in a high security prison unit as part of a project for New Zealand’s Prison Chaplaincy Service. And these are all just a few examples.…

– Calvin Scott, Senior Consultant

I love the variety of work we do; and that so much of our work makes a real difference to people lives. I love that we ‘give a damn’.

Our Culture

We live our values and are committed to te Tiriti, supporting all our staff, Māori and non- Māori, to work across a wide range of sectors and projects.

It’s this breadth of backgrounds and experiences that creates our unique culture. We believe that a great culture needs to be nurtured and supported by all team members, and we take pride in maintaining and achieving an inclusive and fun work environment together.

Companywide volunteering days such as native tree planting – this is our chance to give back to our community and the environment

Regular team events – from Wellington On a Plate to axe throwing, ten-pin bowling and escape rooms, there is always another company-supported activity in the diary

Wednesday morning teas – each Wednesday, we get together as a company for morning tea. It’s a great way to catch up with friends and colleagues

Social sports teams – indoor soccer, indoor netball or Wellington Round the Bays? Whatever your passion, there is a team for you

Who We Look For

We look for people at all stages of their career, including those just starting out.

We are keen to add people to our team who have experience in applying a te Ao Māori lens to their work, an understanding of kaupapa Māori methodologies, mātauranga Māori, or experience working with Māori communities.

All our people are fun-loving, flexible, and hardworking. They know how to work with pace and are energised by working on multiple client projects, topics, and tasks. They are good at identifying opportunities, risks and issues, and finding answers to ensure success. Our people enjoy working within a team environment that also offers scope for autonomy. They have excellent relationship management skills and work comfortably with a wide range of people.

You will fit in well if you are bright, passionate, capable and flexible, and have a desire to deliver meaningful work that tackles complex challenges facing our communities.
