About the Experts
Marnie is our Practice Lead for evaluation and research. She is experienced in programme and policy evaluation, monitoring, strategy development, training and facilitation. Marnie is particularly skilled in qualitative research methods. She is an expert at interpreting complex datasets into accessible and practical learnings. Marnie’s area of expertise includes evaluation of health, transport and social sector policies and initiatives. She designed and led a complex, multi-cycle evaluation of modernised transport legislation, led several evaluations social sector initiatives to enhance child and family wellbeing, and has evaluated a range of health policies, programmes and interventions in New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific. Marnie takes a participatory approach to all her work and prioritises taking stakeholders ‘on the journey’ of evaluation to enhance buy-in to the results. Marnie’s areas of expertise include health, transport and local government. She has designed and led a complex multi-cycle evaluation of modernised transport legislation, led the evaluation of a controversial local government funding grant pool, and evaluated a range of health policies, programmes and interventions in New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific.
Eleanor is an experienced policy analyst, researcher and lawyer with a background spanning government, Universities and international organisations. Eleanor has significant experience the justice and human rights sectors in Australia and internationally. She has spearheaded and contributed to projects addressing critical issues such as legal assistance, family violence, disability rights, protest rights, tobacco control, and education.
Eleanor’s expertise includes policy development, qualitative research, and project management. She has a talent for designing and delivering effective consultations and is skilled in engaging collaboratively and sensitively with diverse stakeholders.
Eleanor is admitted as a lawyer in Victoria.
